Unity Leadership Program
Unity Grammar believes that student leadership allows students to learn about social justice as they participate in activities that highlight the roles and responsibilities of being a part of a diverse community.

Student Representative Councils (SRCs) and student leadership positions where students captain academic and sport teams are an aspect of the leadership experience at Unity Grammar.
At the Unity Grammar Secondary School, Leadership studies enables students to investigate past and present leaders, learn leadership skills and develop initiatives to enrich the lives of their peers.
The development of Student Leadership skills involves students:
- Acting in roles of responsibility with integrity and honesty
- Fostering a sense of vision and purpose
- Working with others to determine and achieve collective goals
- Taking on responsibilities and using decision-making skills to carry out successful projects
- Becoming active, reflective listeners and effective communicators
- Earning respect through their actions.
At Unity Grammar our focus is on every student reaching their full potential and become well rounded individuals and the leaders of tomorrow. It is through the teaching of essential life skills and the development of important attitudes that every child can create a strong independent personality and character built on the foundation of our Islamic Faith.
Meet our Head of Senior School, Mr Wassim Zoabi

Our College is a dynamic Educational Learning Centre; a place where students gain knowledge, attain skills, achieve academic success and go out into the real world as well-rounded, holistic, confident, and principled global citizens.
As the Head of Senior School, every day I witness young Muslim students content to be at the College, feeling safe and secure with a sense of belonging. My personal belief is; wellbeing comes first. Sound social, emotional, physical and spiritual health is a prerequisite to developing outstanding students. Our College provides opportunities, programs and an educationally rich, rigorous and differentiated curriculum that maximises academic success.
At Unity Grammar, we have dedicated and professional staff, Wellbeing Officers, Wellbeing Coordinators and a College Counsellor. Our staff go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that no stone is unturned in enhancing the learning experience for your child.
As the Head of Senior School, I urge all students to play their part. I believe students must make education a priority whilst setting clear and concise goals, and do their best to achieve their potential.
Meet our Head of Islamic Studies, Sheikh Arshad Khan

Sheikh Arshad Ahmad Khan has been at the college for 7 years, he studied to be a Sheikh at the highly renowned Madinah University where he excelled in Islamic law, Quran and Hadith as well as Seerah (life of the Holy Prophet pbuh).
He is fluent in English/Arabic, has escorted our students on an Umrah pilgrimage in 2019 and is also fully qualified teacher having graduated from the University of New England with a Bachelor of Teaching majoring in Languages, History and Studies of Religion. He is one of only a few Sheikhs working in Islamic schools in Australia who are both fully qualified scholars of the faith as well as qualified school teachers!
Sheikh Arshad is the father of two adorable boys who are also students here at Unity Grammar! In the words of Sheikh Arshad “Islamic education is a priority in facilitating a harmonious global community. It is vital that our current and upcoming generation of students understand their Islamic and Australian values to become successfully productive global citizens.
